Launching a token

If you do not have a token yet, SuperHooks can launch one for you on Pons, a bonding-curve launchpad on Robinhood Chain. You describe the token in chat and sign one transaction from your wallet.

Pons is a separate protocol

Pons is not part of SuperHooks, and its v2 contracts are not yet audited. SuperHooks prepares the transaction; your wallet sends it straight to Pons's contracts.

How a Pons launch works

  • The token has a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000. All of it sits on a bonding curve. Nobody receives tokens for free, including you.
  • Buyers pay with the pair token: ETH by default, or USDG or another token Pons has approved. The price rises as people buy and falls as they sell.
  • When the curve has collected its graduation amount, the token moves to a Uniswap V4 pool. That pool's liquidity is locked permanently.
  • Pons charges a fee on every trade and shares part of it with you. You can add a creator fee on top, up to Pons's cap.

Launch from chat

  1. Ask for it, for example:

Launch a token called Robin Cat, ticker RCAT, with a 2% creator fee. I'll buy 0.05 ETH at launch.
  2. A launch card appears. Press the square on the left to add the token image.

  3. Check the card, then press Launch token and confirm in your wallet.

The name, ticker, image and creator fee cannot be changed after launch. To change a draft, tell SuperHooks what to change before you launch.

What it costs

Launch feeSet by Pons and shown on the card. Paid in ETH when you launch.
First buyOptional. The amount you choose to buy in the launch transaction.
GasRobinhood Chain network gas.

If you pair with a token other than ETH and make a first buy, your wallet asks for one approval before the launch.

Your first buy

A first buy happens inside the launch transaction, so nobody can buy before you. Anyone else who buys in the first few seconds after launch pays a steep anti-bot tax that fades out quickly. That includes you, if you buy again straight away.

After launch

The card shows the token address and how far the bonding curve is from graduating. Your launches are listed on the Tokens page.

Claiming your fees

Your share of the trading fees is paid in the pair token. The card shows Your fees to claim; press Claim fees to send them to your wallet.

  • While the token is on its bonding curve, claiming can take two confirmations: one collects the fees from the curve, one pays them out.
  • The claim pays out one balance per pair token. If you launched several tokens with ETH, one claim covers all of them.
  • After the token graduates, or if you turned buyback on, Pons collects the fees itself from time to time. New fees can take a while to appear on the card.

Using your own hook

The pool a Pons token graduates into uses Pons's own hook. A hook you build in SuperHooks cannot be attached to that pool or to the bonding curve.

To use your own hook, create a second Uniswap V4 pool for the token: press Build a hook for it on the card. You fund that pool yourself, with tokens you bought and the other side of the pair. Trades on Pons do not pass through your hook.
